Life goes on for partygoers near Ermelo Sport-Inn
This has not stopped party-goers to continue with their weekend celebrations.
ERMELO – The parking lot at Ermelo Sport-Inn becomes a junkyard after every weekend’s revelry.
It is littered with empty glass bottles and takeaway containers.
Residents have used this area as a party spot ever since Msukaligwa Local Municipality had to close the gates to the Pet Dam due to Covid-19 regulations during the high lockdown levels.
Partygoers previously made use of the parking area in that vacinity, near the old public swimming pool.
This preventative measure was taken to avoid large gatherings, to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Highvelder previously reported on Ermelo residents who were disgusted and in disbelief over the littering at Ermelo Sport-Inn.
During previous occasions, several residents had complained about the noise disturbance and the ongoing littering by scores of revellers.
Highvelder has reached out and sent media enquiries to Capt Carla Prinsloo, the spokesman for the Ermelo police, as well as Mr Mandla Zwane, the spokesman for the Msukaligwa Local Municipality, regarding the by-laws of noice disturbance and the fines that can be issued if residents litter in residential areas.
The newspaper awaits a response.
