New Volkswagen Taigo crossover confirmed for Mzansi

The new Taigo will join the T SUV line up that consists of the T-Cross, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan AllSpace and Touareg.

The local arm of the German carmaker, Volkswagen has confirmed that it will be bringing its new Taigo crossover to Mzansi in 2022. 

The new Taigo will join the T SUV line up that consists of the T-Cross, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan AllSpace and Touareg and will be positioned in the A0 segment. 

According to Volkswagen, the Taigo will spawn a multitude of assistance systems, state-of-the-art connectivity and will feature economical TSI engines.

The exterior will reportedly feature LED headlights as standard while the interior will have a modern operating concept as well as a fully digital cockpit and a multitude of assist systems.

The Taigo is based on the successful Nivus model from Brazil and pricing and detailed specification will be announced closer to the launch date in South Africa next year.
