VIDEO: Chadwick Boseman, Naya Rivera amongst those remembered at 2020 Emmy Awards

This year’s Emmy Awards were hosted on 20 September. The ceremony was originally planned to be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, but the spread of the coronavirus meant the ceremony couldn’t be hosted as originally planned. 

Instead, it was held at the Staples Center and Emmy winners gave speeches from the comfort of their homes.

At this year’s Emmys, stars Chadwick Boseman and Naya Rivera were honoured for the contribution they made in the film industry. Both Boseman and Rivera passed away tragically this year, with Boseman succumbing to colon cancer and Rivera drowning in Lake Piru. 

Chadwick Boseman was 43 when he passed away and Naya Rivera at 33.
