CFC Academy beats Spurs

The team has one more match to go before the end of the season.

CFC Academy FC recently beat Spurs 6-3 in their second last match of the season at the Mackenzieville Stadium.

The first half of the match saw the CFC Academy team dominating the pace of the game and ball possession.

“The team opened the scoring early,” said chairperson Ignatius Maphike. “Many of the young players were given an opportunity to play and did not disappoint.”

The first half ended with a score of 3-1 in favour of CFC Academy.

During the second half, Spurs took charge and managed to score two more goals.

CFC Academy responded with three more goals, strengthening their sixth place on the league log.

“If we win our next match, we will move up to the fourth position,” Maphike said.

“We are extremely proud of our boys for the quality they displayed. With our SAB team starting their pre-season soon, a lot of these boys will be promoted to the club’s first team for their hard work.”
