Valke women steamroll Pumas

Provincial women's rugby took centre stage in Nigel.

Valke woman’s rugby played against Pumas at the John Vorster Stadium in Nigel on Saturday.

Valke won 73-0.

From the moment the teams took to the field there was only one team that wanted to win.

The Valke dominated the Pumas in all facets of the game.

Valke played with purpose in the scrums, rucks and mauls, imposing an impressive backline running game.

The Valke scored five tries before the halftime hooter of which two were converted and in the second half another eight tries where one was converted.

There were 21 scrums and nine lineouts in the match. Pumas conceded 25 penalties and the Valke 19.

One yellow card was also shown in the match.
