DStv Premiership Soccer League (PSL) fans are in for a treat, as the first Soweto Derby encounter of the 2021/22 season will take place this weekend.
The match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will kick off at 15:30 at FNB Stadium on November 6.
Through this season’s reinvigorated tagline, Babize Bonke, Bazozw’iDiski, South Africans are invited to come together to feel, hear and touch football. While limited spectators are allowed to attend local games, DStv will be bringing the game to the fans with a unique Babize Bonke Fan Experience this week.
From November 4 to 6 at the Southgate Mall, a stone’s throw away from the FNB Stadium, football fans will have the opportunity to engage with the DStv brand through various fan touchpoints inside a hugely assembled marquee resonating a calabash.
The campaign will give DStv customers, soccer lovers and followers an elevated experience of the 2021/22 season, that is not far away from what they would feel if attending a big game at a stadium.
Babize Bonke was DStv’s popular call to all South Africans to come together in the experience of a common passion and love for the beautiful game.
Head of marketing at Multichoice SA Thabisa Mkhwanazi said, “The Babize Bonke Fan Experience is an immersive football wonderland where fans can participate in different activities that allow them to ‘feel the game’. This experience will be made up of skills challenges, DStv Photo Studio with the DStv trophy, VIP live-match screening, a chance to meet football legends and DStv talent and with lots of surprising prizes up for grabs.”
On match day, DStv will be hosting an exclusive experience where lucky DStv customers and soccer fans will be watching the Soweto Derby live from the mall.
