Acts of kindness appreciated

Neville Gallichan writes to showcase his and his wife Sylvia's appreciation for an act of kindness.

Neville Gallichan writes:

My wife, Sylvia, now in her early 80s, was witness during this week to no less than two unrelated acts of generosity, this whilst in the Ferryvale Pharmacy and the Ferryvale SPAR.

The first act of kindness – a lady who, on November 20, was in the pharmacy where she purchased two bottles of expensive perfume.

She then handed one bottle to Sylvia.

The second such kindness was displayed by a gentleman on November 26 at the checkout in the SPAR.

As Sylvia was about to pay for her purchases, a gentleman waiting behind her stopped her from doing so.
Then, without even knowing what the cost would be, said: “I will pay for your purchases”.

Sylvia had never before seen or met either the lady or the gentleman.

Both would not listen to any objections to such generosity.

Sylvia, on each occasion overwhelmed by such unexpected acts of caring, holding back tears, gave her benefactors hugs of appreciation.

Not knowing the names of the persons involved – it is our hope they both will get to read this letter and know it refers to them. We say thank you, thank you!

May you both be blessed for such kind acts of caring.
