Open day promotes CoE’s community services, resources

This is the first of many initiatives hosted that aim to inform the community of the services available to them.

The Nigel Community Care Services hosted an open day to promote the CoE’s various community services and resources.

Each department set up booths offering information and assistance on health, road safety, GBV, energy, municipal services and local initiatives.

The day saw many networking opportunities for community members to connect with service providers from the various CoE sectors.

The team from the Nigel Clinic and Community Care Services organised the open day on September 26.

The Department of Home Affairs was also present with its mobile unit, where community members could change their green ID book to the ID card.

Mduduzi Msezane from the CoE customer services department said the community should contact the call centre on 011 999 8520 if they have questions about tariff changes.

Bettie van Schalkwyk, who organised the day, said this was the first of many initiatives to inform the community about the services available to them.
