German Visser, a board member of Alra Park Sports Development Association and shihan of Enshin Karate, attended at a sporting event in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal on August 31.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Sport Recreation and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, and Visser had the opportunity to engage with the minister.
According to Visser, Mckenzie stated during their conversation that government wants to see development at grassroots level.
To achieve that the various sporting codes needs to follow the correct protocols to ensure that it will be done so that it can bear fruit on provincial level.
• Alrapark Sports Development Association will hold its management committee elections on September 22.
The meeting will be held at the Old Happiness School in MacKenzieville. The event is organised by interim chairperson Nhlanhla Nkabinde.
