Ratanda SAPS work hard to ensure convictions

No place to hide for criminals.

Ratanda SAPS were hard at work to secure convictions.

Tsoari Johannes (43) was sentenced at the Heidelberg Regional Court to five years imprisonment for sexual assault.

On September 26, 2020, a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by Johannes.

Warrant Officer Gerrie Rossouw investigated the case and ensured a conviction was secured.

On July 23, in another successful conviction by Ratanda SAPS, Thamsanqa Tshabalala (25) was sentenced by the Heidelberg Regional Court for domestic violence, contravention of a protection order and assault GBH. He was sentenced to seven years imprisonment.

The investigating officer who ensured this successful conviction could be obtained was Sergeant Rodgers Sthembiso Nkabinde.

The case was opened in July 2023.

Ratanda station commander Lieutenant Colonel Moleleki Isaac Ramotshabi applauded the diligent work of Rossouw and Nkabinde.
