Devon SAPS gives guidance to learners

They discussed bullying, substance abuse and teenage pregnancies.

Devon SAPS, with the social crime prevention and communications coordinator Constable Yvonne Skosana, CPF members, GBV brigades, church leaders and community patrollers, recently visited Nomnekane Primary School.

During the outreach, they motivated the learners to focus on their studies, and they addressed more important issues.

These included bullying, substance abuse and teenage pregnancies.

The visitors sensitised the learners to the dangers of substance abuse and bullying and also how teenage pregnancies can affect their lives.

“The important lesson is to think before you act,” said Skosana.

Her advice to the learners was not to be reckless and not to give in to the pressures from others.
