Late-coming addressed during a police visit at school

SAPS visited Zikhethele Secondary School to search for illegal items.

Law enforcement and other stakeholders recently searched Zikhethele Secondary School.

The search, aimed at locating dangerous weapons, narcotics and other substances, was conducted by Devon SAPS, social crime prevention and communications coordinator Constable Yvone Skosana, Vispol commander Warrant Officer Sibongile Ndlela, Crime Prevention Wardens, CPF members and community patrollers.

The law enforcers also wanted to observe what learners arrived late at school.

Schoolchildren are reported to be roaming the area during school hours.

During the time the stakeholders were at the school, around 40 learners arrived late. The learners’ parents were notified of their actions.
