Door-to-door police campaign held in Devon

Report incidences that you are aware of.

Devon SAPS together with the Department of Community Safety (inspectorate team), CPF, patrollers, Siyabangena, festive patrollers, community safety kiosk and brigades conducted a door-to-door awareness patrol in the Impumelelo area on February 17.

Topics touched on were reporting of crime, reporting on SAPS members not doing the work they have been employed to do and being vigilant at all times.

Acting station commander Warrant Officer Mbogiseni Zwane said, “This was an unforgettable event. From Siyabangena Spirit to festive patrollers in action, our kiosk, CPF and brigades lit up the scene. We engaged the community in lively discussions, empowering them with vital knowledge on reporting the police when community service falls short. It was a momentous occasion that left a lasting impact on all who attended.”

Leaflets were also handed out to the community to further educate and sensitise them about being active and not afraid to report crimes committed or knowledge of criminal plans in the area.
