SARS pop-up branches during filing season
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) is offering several services to taxpayers in the Gauteng South region outside of the branch offices.
Some of the services are targeted to assist taxpayers in complying with their tax obligations by filing their returns during the 2023 Filing season, and others are to provide clarity and certainty of tax obligations throughout the year.
The following services are offered by the Gauteng South region:
- Pop-Up Branches: Taxpayers are assisted with all general tax matters including filing of returns:
Carletonville Civic Centre – Thursday and Friday in Carletonville until the end of October 2023. From November, the Pop-Up branch will be set up every Thursday.
Heidelberg Mall – Friday at the Heidelberg Mall, Heidelberg.
Sasolburg Boiketlong Hall – Thursday at the SEDA Boiketlong Hall, Sasolburg.
Kempton Park Civic Centre – Wednesday at the Kempton Park Civic Centre, Kempton Park.
Randfontein – Every Friday at the Randfontein Local Economic Development office to assist small businesses with all general tax matters and individuals to submit their tax returns.
- Weekly radio slot:
SARS has a weekly slot on Kasie FM every Monday evening at 7pm on Bongi MaZulu’s program.
This will last until the end of October, dealing with issues relating to Individual and Employer Filing Seasons. It is a live show with listeners welcome to call in and engage with the SARS representative.
