New station commander for Duduza SAPS

The Duduza SAPS welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Zonele Patrick Qangase on October 1.

Lieutenant Colonel Zonele Patrick Qangase was appointed as the new station commander for the Duduza SAPS on October 1.

This came after the departure of the previous station commander, Colonel Sarah Mofokeng, after she was promoted.

Qangase’s career consists of 31 years in service and he has worked in Germiston, Elsburg and Johannesburg Central.

“My primary objective will be to ensure that the people of Duduza are and feel safe,” Qangase said.

“This will be done through improving relations with the community and working with all stakeholders with the same goal in the fight against crime.

“Duduza is no different than any other location in Gauteng. So the principles of crime prevention will apply, but with a specific approach that will be proportional to the crimes affecting the area.”
