The Devon SAPS held an outreach at Sithembiso and Nomnekane primary schools in Devon on September 15.
The aim was part of the SAPS Career Guidance Initiative.
Agape social workers and the Department of Community Safety accompanied the SAPS.
Most schools hold career guidance annually to help learners choose their career paths after finishing school.
“The Devon SAPS are always willing to encourage learners to consider a career in the police, and, most importantly, the police urge learners to master discipline and good character by not getting involved in criminal activities,” said Devon communications officer Warrant Officer Sbongile Ndlela.
The Devon SAPS will visit more schools in the future to promote safety and crime awareness.
