Phumlisa Papa, a runner from the Heidelberg Athletics Club, recently qualified to compete in the South African Cross-Country Championships later this year.
Papa came second in a 4km AVT cross-country league race at Kollegepark on August 5.
His time of 12:25 saw him qualify for the championships, which take place on September 16 in Gqeberha.
