Water supply interruption in multiple areas

The City of Ekurhuleni is aware of the water supply interruptions in Brakpan, Nigel, Duduza and surrounding areas due to a power supply trip at Mapleton Booster Station.

Technicians are on-site to restore the power supply and return the booster station to service.

Affected areas include Alra Park, Bluegum View, Coolbreeze, Duduza, Ferryvale, Geluksdal, John Dube, Labore, Langaville, Mackenziville, Masechaba View, Nigel, Pretoriusstad, Tsakani, Visagie Park, Vorsterkroon, Withok and Vosloorus Exts 2, 14 and 28.

To mitigate the effect of the interruption, the city has provided roving water tankers to temporarily supply water to the affected areas.
