The Heidelberg SAPS reported that an unidentified body of a man was found near Nkitsing Kraal on May 12.
The corporate communications officer of the Heidelberg SAPS, Constable Doris Nkosi, said their patrol officers made the discovery.
The deceased is estimated to be about 45 years old and was found face down in the water, wearing only blue jeans.
The police ask that anyone with information contact the Ratanda SAPS on 016 343 6024.
