A fire broke out at a shop on Jacobs Street in the Heidelberg CBD on May 5.
The fire is estimated to have started at about 14:00.
As far as can be established, the fire broke out in a small storeroom at the back of the shop.
When the fire was noticed, community members and AfriForum Heidelberg responded with fire extinguishers to stop the blaze from spreading.
Lesedi Fire and Rescue was also on the scene.
The cause of the fire has not been established and investigations are continuing.
No injuries were reported.
