The council in a municipality adopts by-laws to regulate the affairs and services in the municipalitys jurisdiction.
As such, the City of Ekurhuleni supplies and distributes electricity to its customers, as per its electricity by-laws.
The initial electricity by-laws were approved and promulgated by the council resolution of April 2002.
With many years passing and times and legislation changing, the city finds it necessary to update the electricity supply by-laws.
This will ensure the city operates within the confines of the relevant legislation.
Nigel residents are invited to the public participation process at the Nigel Library Hall on May 11 from 14:00 to 16:30.
