Nigel Gymnastics stand out
The gymnasts all performed well during the competition and brought several medals home.
Several gymnasts of the Nigel Gymnastics Club recently competed in Kempton Park at the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Regional Competition.
Amore Bosch, Kaylee de Bruyne, Alyssa Maritz, Ami Oosthuizen, Alessia Bonaretti and Rene Vogel participated in the competition and qualified to compete at the provincial qualifier later this month.
Their results were as follows:
• Amore Bosch (level four) came second on the uneven bars and third overall.
• Kaylee de Brune (level five) took two silver and two bronze medals home on apparatus and came third overall.
• Alyssa Maritz (level six) won three gold and one silver medal on apparatus and came in first overall.
• Ami Oosthuizen (level four) received one gold, one silver and two bronze medals on apparatus and finished second overall.
• Alessia Bonaretti (level four) won one silver medal for apparatus and was placed fourth overall.
• Rene Vogel (level four) took three gold medals and one silver home and placed first overall.
