Dedication leads to conviction

Crime does not pay.

Through intensive investigations and hard work by SAPS, a seasoned criminal has been convicted to 16 years imprisonment.

Sergeant Claude Thekiso Mogotsi of Ratanda SAPS put in the hard work to ensure that a criminal was prosecuted adequately.

Bongani Kgomotso Tshabalala (31) was sentenced in the Heidelberg Regional Court on various counts.
Count one: six years for malicious damage to property.

Count two: four years for illegal trespassing.

Count three: six years for possession of housebreaking implements.

The management of Ratanda SAPS as well as the acting station commander Captain Willie Kotzee are relieved at the outcome of the case and congratulated Mogotsi on his dedication.
