Heidelberg SAPS, Rensburg SAPS and other law enforcement role players conducted Operation Okae Moloa on January 12.
The operation was twofold – one was a roadblock and the second a sting operation.
The operation included visiting sites and searching premises, vehicle testing, personal searches and issuing traffic fines.
Forty-one people were arrested and charged with various offences, and large amounts of narcotics and drugs were confiscated.
Arrests were made for possession of drugs, dealing in drugs, illegal immigrants, residential burglary and sexual offences.
Those arrested will face charges in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court.
