A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened at the Ratanda Police Station

Murder case investigated.

Ratanda SAPS received a complaint of a possible shooting along Phangela Street, Ext 23, on September 14.

When arriving at the scene the police found the emergency services attending to a male and a female patient.
The female (47) was declared dead on the scene. There were multiple gun wounds to her right side, left thigh and shoulder.

According to an eyewitness, the deceased and her driver arrived at the deceased home.

There was a white VW Jetta behind them. The occupants of the Jetta started shooting at the deceased’s vehicle.
The driver was also injured and rushed to hospital.

The SAPS found 16 cartridges in the deceased’s yard.

A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened at the Ratanda Police Station. So far no one has been arrested and the motive is not known.

The SAPS is pleading for anyone that has information to contact them as soon as possible.
