REMINDER: Planned power supply interruption for Nigel
The power supply interruption is planned from 09:00 to 21:00 today.
A power outage planned for the Nigel area will occur on November 16.
The outage is because Eskom has to do urgent maintenance work on the day. They will cut off the power supply from 09:00 until 21:00.
The following areas and customers within the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) will be affected by the power outage:
• Nigel
• Nigel CBD
• Vorsterskroon
• Mackenzieville
• Alra Park
• Cerutiville
• Ferryvale
• Laversburg
• Visagiepark
• Pretoriusstad and Industrial
• ERWAT
• Sub-Nigel
• Noycedale
• Glenvarloch
• Vlakfontein
Work to restore power will be undertaken with the intention of restoring power to the affected areas and factories.
The CoE can make no guarantees that the deadline will be met. Work will continue until they have completed urgent maintenance work by Eskom.
All electrical networks and equipment should be regarded as electrically charged at all times while the maintenance is underway.
The CoE has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage.
