Body of kidnapped woman found

The identity of the second deceased is not known.

Two bodies were found on the R103 towards Vosloorus on June 21.
One of them was identified as that of Bongiwe Reabetse Skosana (28).

Skosana was kidnapped from her Rensburg home on June 17.
Two armed men entered her house in JG Strydom Street and asked where the safe was.

After being told there was no safe, they demanded money.
Skosana offered to transfer money to them. She was taken by the robbers when they fled the scene.

Family members and the police searched for the missing woman ever since, but their search ended when her body was discovered.
Grass cutters working in the area made the discovery.

The SAPS was contacted and rushed to the scene about 16km outside Heidelberg.
Upon arrival, they found a body in the long grass. The identity and gender of this deceased person are not known. This death is not related to Skosana’s.

After searching the area, the SAPS came across Skosana’s body in the long grass.
Her family came to the scene and identified her body. The Heidelberg SAPS is combing the area for more evidence.
