NIGEL – Dikoena Stars FC faced Nigel Players FC at the Mackenzieville Stadium on March 11.
In the first 20 minutes of the game, Dikoena player Shesi Ndluli passed the ball to Themba Mahlangu, who scored the first goal.
At halftime, the score was 1-0 in favour of the Dikoena Stars. During the second half, substitute Welcome Nhlapo scored two more goals.
The leading league scorer and Dikoena player, Lele Twala, also scored during the second half.
Players FC striker Veron Williams managed to net a goal, putting the opposing team on the scoreboard.
Just before the end of the match, Ndluli scored the final goal, and the game ended 5-1 in favour of Dikoena Stars FC.
The man of the match was Dikoena backline player Siya Tshabalala.
“I am happy with the team effort,” said team manager Evans Mahladisa.
“I hope to see our team take the crown as the Mackenzieville Alrapark Football Association (MAFA) League champions.”
