Women fight back against GBV

It is a known fact that women in abusive relationships make approximately seven attempts to leave before permanently leaving their abusive partner.

SA Women Fight Back (SAWFB) wants to see survivors smile again and thrive.

Join SAWFB for its Fund a Victim charity event for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence on November 27.

This will be their first-ever charity event to be hosted at Wine Unlimited in Alberton.

The event will feature VIP speakers including Yvette Farinha (owner of Manifesting Goddess) and Nathalie Mat, a registered dietician.

The global theme for this year’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which will run from November 25 to December 10, is ‘UNITE! Activism to end violence against women and girls.’

GBV activist group SAWFB decided to focus on incorporating ways to empower women and facilitate recovery through SA Women Fight Back’s victim support division and joining forces with relevant entities that can make this happen.

The approach is multi-dimensional and positive. There are wonderful sponsored surprises in store for the morning too!

#FundAVictim event will bring together networkers, business leaders and private citizens interested in assisting vulnerable victims of GBV.

The women-led organisation welcomes any interested parties to work together in the progression towards healing for survivors of GBV and invites you to make contact if you see a way that you could work with this young NPO to make a difference.

Tickets are available at R350 per person and include a welcome drink and breakfast. Buy your ticket by signing up for the event at https://ticketwiz.co.za/7/

SAWFB T-shirts will be available to purchase at the event, as well as Ian Cameron’s book, at the venue.
Be a part of the change you want to see.

SAWFB is a community of women who campaign to bring about legislative change and seek accountability to eradicate gender inequality in South Africa.
