Artists showcase their work

Alive Group Art Exhibition relaunched in Heidelberg.

On September 29, the Alive Group Art Exhibition was relaunched in Heidelberg at the Test Hub on Ueckermann Street.

The last time there was an art show was four years ago, and with the Covid-19 restrictions being lifted the artists felt the time had come to relaunch the art projects.

From the moment the doors opened for the exhibition, there was a constant stream of people that wanted to see what artists are creating in Heidelberg.

The art varies from painting in various forms such as oil on canvas, canvass, oil painting, acrylic and portrait photography.

All the various art forms are different from each other but each piece portrays the artist’s own passion.

The artists showcasing their work are Lara Hattingh, Themba Twala, Hester van Rensburg, Thembela Nthomneni and Buhle Ncube.

Nthombeni said, “I am very excited that we can exhibit together again. The various forms of artwork are a way for us to express our art for all to enjoy.”

Hattingh concluded, “We are looking forward to showcasing our work and see it as an extension of our inspiration through visual stimulation.”

The plan is to hold an exhibition every two months at the Test Hub Art Studio.

There is also a possibility that workshops could be held in the various art forms soon.
