City of Ekurhuleni delays to open swimming pools
Ekurhuleni apologises to its residents for not opening swimming in due course.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) swimming pools did not open as scheduled on September 1.
According to the CoE spokesperson, Zweli Dlamini, the city is devoted to providing all users with a safe and healthy swimming environment.
In this regard, the city will make an effort to guarantee that the water quality of every pool meets the safety requirements established by Life Saving SA and the aquatics regulatory authorities.
“The Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture is working around the clock to ensure that the pools are reopened as soon as possible. The exact reopening dates will be communicated to the public in due course,” Dlamini said.
The city apologised for any trouble that this unfortunate circumstance may have caused.
