Nigel SAPS holds awareness campaign

Members of the Nigel SAPS and their stakeholders held an awareness campaign on March 24.

The campaign aimed to raise awareness of gender-based violence, domestic violence, property-related crimes and contact crimes.

These are all social issues that are on the rise in the area.

Stakeholders who participated in the campaign included the Department of Community Safety and Victim Empowerment Centre volunteers.

The campaign was carried out in three phases in sector three of Jamesonpark, where stakeholders engaged with the community on these crime-related issues.

The first phase was conducted at the Jamesonpark Community Hall, the second at the Jamesonpark Clinic and the third at the Jamesonpark old mine.
