December 3

Heidelberg Methodist Church will be hosting a fundraiser from 09:00 to 17:00. The community is invited to come and support the church and join it for some food and fellowship. The fundraiser will include boerewors rolls and a white elephant sales. The project will be held at the Klipkerk, located at 57 HF Verwoerd Street.

Die Elkhana Kerssangdiens sal om 10:00 by Suikerbosoord Dienssentrum vir bejaardes, geleë te Freemanstraat 2, gehou word. Die gemeenskap word genooi om die oggend van koorsang, saamsing en die koms van Jesus te herdenk. Enige persoon is welkom om die geleentheid saam te geniet, maar die dra van maskers is verpligtend. 9 December

Hoër Volkskool nooi die Heidelberg gemeenskap vir ’n aand van Kerslig Klanke. Die geleentheid begin 18:00 vir 18:30 op die skool se A-rugbyveld. Die kostes sal R20 per persoon wees. The Heidelberg Heritage Museum invites members of the community to its recreational Capital Christmas Market. Come and join them over the three days to experience a bit of wonderful heritage during the most wonderful time of the year. The market will be held from 09:00 to 20:00 on the corner of Voortrekker and Peperboom streets.

December 10

Christ the King Anglican Church, situated on the corner of Athlone Avenue and Ryan Street in Noycedale, will be holding an outdoor Carols by Candlelight at 19:00. They have the pleasure of guest artists Phiwe Makaula (tenor) and Siphokazi Stofu (soprano) who will be joining them during the festivities. Expect old favourite Christmas music and other well-known and loved carols.

There will be no charge for the event; however, a programme-and-a-candle combo will be available for R10. There will also be a collection of non-perishable foods for distribution to those who are struggling. Traditional Christmas mince pies and refreshments will be available afterwards for a donation. Covid-19 protocols must be observed.

Staxx Stationers and Art Suppliers will be hosting a Christmas Art Market at the Ferryvale Shopping Centre. The art market will start at 09:00 until late. Stalls are available at R200 per stall.
