Cambridge team prepares for new season

The Cambridge team played host to the Italian Two Touch team from Duduza.

Cambridge FC played against Italian Two Touch FC on October 17 in preparation for the new season.

Both teams will be playing in the SAB League kicking off on October 23.

“The match started slow,” said one of the Cambridge coaches, Ignatius Maphike.

“But Cambridge dominated the ball position despite having eight players under 21 on the field.”

The Cambridge team kept the ball in circulation and kept the Italian Two Touch team on the defence until a penalty was awarded to Cambridge well into the first half.

The first half of the match ended with a score of 1-0 for Cambridge.

During the second half, the Cambridge team made some technical changes to their play style, which resulted in their second goal of the match.

The match ended with a final score of 2-0 for Cambridge.

“The game was good preparation for the coming league,” said coach Godfrey Hermanus.

“But the Italian team didn’t sit back and tried to fight back, but Cambridge proved too strong for the opposition.

“We represent the Nigel community with pride and we play our best for them.”
