Damduikers team practice for competition

The Damduikers Fishing Club took to the water again on October 6 at the Vaal Vakansie-Oord in Villiers.

In total, the team caught about eight carp, which were released back into the water.

Jacob Smith caught a 4kg carp.

“Villiers was good for us,” said Ronnie Smit about the day and area.

The Damduiker team did exceptionally well on its practice outing.

The team will be participating in a competition at Woelwaters at the Vaal River. The upcoming competition will have prize money and trophies up for grabs.

“We are looking forward to bringing home some prizes that could assist the team,” said Dominic Magalhaes.
