WeSolve4X raises funds to build school toilets

“We could not ignore the pit toilets that have been standing at the school for 38 years. We need your support to build flushing toilets for the school.”

Tsietsi-based NPO WeSolve4X is raising funds to build toilets at Mzinto Primary School in Mount Frere, Mzinto Village in the Eastern Cape.

The NPO is calling on South Africans from all walks of life to pledge a R10 donation towards helping not only Mzinto Primary but also other schools that face the same challenge of having to use pit toilets.

The CEO and actuarial analyst of WeSolve4X, Tsietsi Ngobese (27), said they went to the Eastern Cape to adopt Mzinto Primary for mathematics extra classes on August 5.

During their first visit, they took a tour around the school and were disturbed by the terrible state of toilets used by learners at the school.

“I was pressed when we got there. I needed to use the restroom, and while I was in the toilet, a learner also come in to use the toilet next to me. There was nothing separating the two sides of the toilets and there were no doors.

“He almost fell into the toilet. I had to jump to grab the child. After that event, we started fund-raising for new toilets,” said Ngobese.
