Multiple stakeholders take part in outreach programme

Multiple stakeholders took part in the outreach programme.

Members of the Disaster Management Centre, with the Lesedi Local Municipality (LLM), worked together on September 16 as part of an outreach programme to help taxi drivers get vaccinated.

The programme was held at the Shalimar Ridge Taxi Rank to help raise public awareness on vaccinations, substance abuse and road safety.

Multiple stakeholders attended the outreach programme, including members of LLM, Sanca and the Social Crime Prevention team.

Mluleki Nkozi, Mayor of LLM, donated sanitiser to taxi drivers for their safety and that of their passengers.

Monica Mkhize, the superintendent of the Lesedi Traffic Department, distributed gifts to those in attendance, while Lizzie Klatzer, the health promoter and senior community liaison officer of the Lesedi sub-district of the Gauteng Department of Health, shared her expertise on health issues.

Pamphlets concerning gender-based violence and road safety were also distributed.
