Gymnasts shine in Pretoria
Four gymnasts from the Nigel Gymnastics Club will be competing at the South African National Championships in October.
Four senior girls from the Nigel Gymnastics Club recently acquired their Ekurhuleni district colours in Fourways and achieved placings in their different levels and age groups.
Their results for the competition are as follows:
• Kayleigh du Bruyn (third overall).
• Ami Oosthuizen (second overall for level four, age 10).
• Alyssa Maritz (first overall for level five, age 10).
• Reneilwe Msiza (first overall).
“The girls did extremely well,” said coach Charlene Maritz of their performance.
“I am very proud of them.”
On September 10 and 11, the gymnasts competed for their provincial colours in Pretoria.
All four girls received their provincial colours and will be competing at the South African National Championships in October.
