Joint SAPS operation shows results
The joint operation was conducted by members from Nigel and Duduza SAPS.
A joint operation conducted by mostly female members of the Nigel and Duduza SAPS stations was conducted on August 27 in celebration of Women’s Month.
The operation saw the arrest of three men in Duduza and visible policing along Nigel Road where several traffic fines were issued.
The operation was led by Nigel SAPS station commander Lt Col Senzangakhona Mohale with members from other law enforcement agencies, including correctional services, EMPD and Gauteng Traffic under the Department of Community Safety as well as Women Safety Promoters involved.
An awareness operation was also conducted at the Angelo Mall in Nigel, where all stakeholders engaged with members of the community on the prevention and denunciation of gender-based violence (GBV).
Members were urged to be fair, firm and vigilant at all times during the operation.
