Police continue to engage with community

Nigel SAPS members engaged with the community in Alra Park.

Members of the Nigel SAPS continued to engage with the public on August 11.

The operation was led by Sgt Dawn Cannon.

SAPS and Public Service Act (PSA) members conducted a police vehicle control point along Balfour Road in Alra Park.

Members searched vehicles and distributed pamphlets on gender-based violence (GBV), domestic violence, sexual offences and human trafficking.

About 300 pamphlets were distributed and 70 vehicles stopped.

The community was sensitised on the different forms of GBV and encouraged to report any form of abuse in order to help curb GBV.

Nigel SAPS members formed part of the engagement operation to help showcase their commitment in the fight against GBV.
