Property rate rebate forms can be submitted electronically

Residents can now submit applications for property rate rebates electronically.

In terms of the municipal property rates policy, with the new property rates kicking in on July 1, all those who previously qualified for rebates must resubmit their applications from July 1.

This mainly includes pensioners and residential property owners with disabilities. Application forms can be downloaded from the City’s website.

Given the current increase in Covid-19 infections, application forms and supporting documentation must be scanned in PDF format and submitted electronically to the applicable customer care centre.

The first two digits (prefix) on the service account indicates the applicable customer care centre, for example, account number 2192345625 is in Alberton.
When submitting, please make sure all the necessary documentation is included.
