Youth Month outreach programme conducted
Capt Mzwandile Blose visited Laerskool AG Visser as part of the outreach programme.
The Heidelberg SAPS Crime Prevention coordinator, Capt Mzwandile Blose, paid a visit to Laerskool AG Visser on June 9.
The visit to the school formed part of a Youth Month outreach awareness programme.
The continued visits to schools, pre-schools and crèches is an engagement with learners or children to educate, sensitise and conduct awareness on bullying, avoiding the carrying of dangerous weapons, to avoid playing with electrical appliances, to avoid playing in the streets, to avoid taking gifts from strangers and to sensitise children on electrical plugs to avoid being electrocuted.
Blose interacted with grade three learners as requested by the class teacher, where 28 learners participated.
Learners were also sensitised and reminded of the SAPS Crime Stop Emergency line, 08600 10111, they should use if they want to report any criminal activities to the police.
