Battery Centre robbed

Police are searching for the two men.

Two men robbed Battery Centre in Nigel on June 7.

The men entered the shop pretending to be customers. They were armed with a 9mm pistol.

The owner of the shop was approached by the men and told not to activate the panic button. The two men proceeded to tie up the owner and his staff in the kitchen.

Batteries, cash and cellphones were taken. The men fled the scene in a Toyota Quantum, which was recovered in Tsakani.

The stolen batteries were found inside the vehicle, but the men evaded capture.
