HEIDELBERG – Two men were arrested on charges relating to drugs at the Heidelberg Taxi Rank on May 15.
Const Bongumusa Nxumalo and Const Mahlori Shibambu were patrolling the taxi rank at 11am when they spotted two men exchanging suspicious-looking items.

When the men saw the police members, one of the men walked away quickly.
The SAPS members immediately approached the men. One man carrying a plastic bag was found with 13 pieces of rock (crack cocaine) wrapped in foil.
He was immediately arrested. The drugs and proceeds made from selling the drugs were seized by the police.
The other man was arrested for possession of drugs as he was found with a piece of rock wrapped in foil.
Both arrested men will appear in the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court soon.
