Free first-aid training
Islamic Medical Association (IMA) will be offering a free first-aid training course on March 27.
The course will equip learners with: Basic first-aid response, scene safety, CPR and choking.
The South African Health and Safety Regulations states that an employer shall take all reasonable steps that are necessary to ensure persons at work receive prompt first-aid treatment in case of injury or emergency.
This includes training of employees in first-aid skills by a recognised training institution.
The course will be offered at the Nigel Muslim Care Centre, Plot 9 Valentine Drive, Jameson Park, Nigel, from 9am to 1pm.
