Help save a life this Human Rights Day

Every two seconds each day, someone needs blood. Let us help thousands of patients this Human Rights Day.

To celebrate Human Rights Day on March 21, the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is implementing a blood drive on March 22 to recruit new donors and ensure there is sufficient stock of safe blood available in South Africa.

SANBS has started to see a decline in their blood stocks and is therefore appealing to all stakeholders to celebrate life on March 22 by partnering with local blood donor centres and giving back to the community during these trying times.

Stakeholders are invited to:

• Pledge their support by sending their names and contact details to SANBS
• Enter a team to donate blood on March 22
• Take pictures of their team on the day.

The SANBS encourages all stakeholders to take 15 minutes to change the lives of thousands of patients.

Stringent protocols are in place to ensure the safety of its blood donors, staff and the public.
