Mother shot and killed
A case of murder and attempted murder was opened on November 11 after Penny Mosoma (44), wife of Sunnyboy Mosoma from Lesedi Local Municipality was shot dead around 1:45pm in AG Visser Street.
Her two children 13 and four were in the car with her.
Mosoma was returning home after picking up her children from school. When driving along AG Visser Street towards her home, a gold Toyota Fortuner overtook and stopped in front of her red Toyota Yaris. One of the Fortuner passengers got out and started shooting at her.
She was shot several times, and certified dead on the scene by Gauteng Emergency Medical Services. The two children were left unharmed.
HERAUT spoke to Sunnyboy, who said:
“I am still in shock about what happened to my wife and very worried about my children.”
No arrest have been made, as the perpetrators are unknown.
