Nando’s Heidelberg now delivers to Nigel and Ratanda

Nando's Heidelberg initiated a partnership with a locally owned delivery service company to increase their delivery fleet for faster speed of service as well as delivering to Nigel and Ratanda.

With chaos comes opportunity and Nando’s Heidelberg have been gearing up to safely spread their peri peri flavour far and wide. Nando’s embraced the nationwide lockdown as an opportunity to drive some technological innovation and adaptation, becoming the first restaurant in South Africa to launch ‘Kerbside collection’ as well as enhancing the way the brand interacted with customers through technology.

Nando’s was quick to provide a safe, sanitised and almost contactless take-away experience whereby customers are given the option to order and pay through the Nando’s app or website, or drive to their local Nando’s and have their food brought to their car on a tray as they wait in a specially demarcated parking area, at no extra cost. Nando’s has since added features to the app that enhance the experience such as voice ordering in the search function of the app and the ability to watch some of those famous Nando’s ads while you wait for your food.

“Keeping our staff and customers safe during these trying times as well as keeping up to the high standards we set ourselves has been our priority,” Charles Nyakujipa (head manager at Nando’s Heidelberg) said. “Checking temperatures, wearing masks and keeping high standards of hygiene is part of our usual protocol and we are trying our level best to keep everyone safe.”

Nando’s Heidelberg initiated a partnership with a locally owned delivery service company to increase their delivery fleet for faster speed of service as well as delivering to our neighbouring town.

This service is now available to customers in Nigel (CBD, industrial, Glenverloch, Noycedale and Ferryvale) as well as Ratanda. The service to Nigel however is limited from 10:00 to 17:30 daily but based on the demand, delivery times are due to be adjusted.

Once the lockdown level decreases further and South Africans are allowed to walk in, sit down and eat at Nando’s Heidelberg, they will take the contactless dine-in experience a step further by providing downloadable menus through a QR code using their complimentary Wi-Fi service.

Visit Nando’s Heidelberg at 52 Voortrekker Street or phone them on 016 341 3777 (call centre) or send a WhatsApp to 0660876400. You can also download the Nandos App and order online or send an email to heidelberg@nandocas.com for exciting voucher opportunities for businesses.
