HERAUT's journalist and the community of Heidelberg showed their support by donating blood in a time when it matters most.
Voluntary blood donors come from all walks of life, all regions, backgrounds, religions and ages. By choosing to donate blood without getting paid, these individuals commit a heroic act, a gesture of human solidarity with the power to save lives.

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) visited the Victorian Centre in Heidelberg on April 6 from 09:00 to 15:00.
The SANBS will be more visible during the lockdown and hand the community the opportunity to donate blood after doing their essential shopping.
