Essential services at Lesedi Local Municipality will continue

The offices, however, are closed.

Lesedi Local Municipality’s (LLM) offices will be closed from March 26 at 16:15 until further notice.
The municipality will however, continue to provide essential basic services such as
1) Community Services and Public Safety; Fire and Rescue Services; Cemetery and Parks and Traffic and Public Safety.
The cemetery services/bookings of graves will only be available on Thursdays and Fridays from 08:00 until 12:00. Payments of graves must be made at ABSA Bank. Banking details will be made available after the booking has been made.
2) Infrastructure Services
Waste – The removal of refuse will be collected as usual.
Electricity and Water

3) Payments of Municipal services
Prepaid electricity sale points will be available via the internet, at Spar, Pick n Pay and petrol outlets. Should the outlets become offline, the public is advised to call the Conlog Call Centre on 086 126 6564 or 031 268 111.
Lesedi Customer Care Centre will work non-stop (24/7). However, barring of walk-ins from the public will be fully enforced. You can phone them on 016 330 0400.

Ratepayers and consumers are encouraged to still pay for their services on time (even during the Covid-19 lock down) utilising the available platforms.
You can pay your account into the following bank accounts:
FNB, Debtors Account, number 62800613285;
or ABSA, number 500000066.
Use your account number as reference number for EFT payments.
Lerato Maloka (executive mayor) of LLM pleads to all residents to adhere to the stringent measures given by the president. The mayor further emphasizes that residents must not engage in panic buying as this is not a complete shutdown, but only a lock down whereas only limited movement will be allowed.
“May everyone stay safe and be responsible during this period,” Maloka concluded.
